Shelby started Massage Therapy in 2007 and Yoga in 2008. She traveled with her practice coast-to-coast and found her roots in Tulsa, OK, where she established Balanced Bodies in 2013. She has trained and partnered with several area gyms, professional sports teams, fitness professionals, and doctors who share her vision for optimal conditioning, health, and wellness through Yoga and Massage therapy.
Shelby takes a therapeutic approach to self-care, fitness, athletics, and pain management with Massage Therapy and Yoga. She specializes in neuromuscular therapy and deep tissue massage as well as an integrative and practical style of Yoga. She studied with Jill Miller, founder of Yoga Tune Up®, and the Roll Model Method®, to combine Yoga and Massage as a way to encourage clients to practice healing themselves with an emphasis on proprioception, mobility, body mechanics, and recovery.
Shelby is a wife, mother, homeschooler, business owner, massage therapist, yoga teacher, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, blogger, anatomy nerd, and busy body. She has found how to love and care for each and every client, student, and follower by tuning in and creating balance for herself through self-care, massage, and yoga.
Thomas Williams has been practicing martial arts since childhood, starting in the traditional arts and expanding to wrestling, jiu jitsu, judo, and Muay Thai.
Thomas now owns and is the head instructor at Balanced Bodies.
Thomas is a first degree Black Belt under Piet Wilhelm. He enjoys competing and teaching seminars along with running the academy.
His focus for Balanced Bodies is to provide a safe, fun and tough training environment for his students to grow.
He loves sharing the art, empowering his community and learning something from everyone he meets.
Casie came to work at Balanced Bodies immediately after graduating from the Massage Therapy program at Community Care College. She specializes in deep tissue and neuromuscular massage therapy, and believes the best part about massage is seeing the results it brings to the clients. Casie feels that Balanced Bodies is the best place in Tulsa for people to improve themselves physically and mentally.
She has also served as an EMT in the Tulsa area, and is still an active duty medic in the Army National Guard.
Since 2012, Casie has been practicing BJJ and has medaled at multiple tournaments. She was promoted to brown belt in 2019, and also enjoys running, weightlifting, and rugby, where she leads a successful women's team. Because she is a 70 year old trapped in a 30 year olds body she understands the importance of self care NOW.
Christa has been practicing massage therapy since 2016. She encourages clients to learn about themselves through massage and Yoga so that they can experience true healing. She specializes in Swedish Massage that leaves clients feeling nurtured and refreshed. Christa has a special way of making even deep tissue massages make you feel just as relaxed as 2 glasses of wine. She believes the combining the relaxing flow of a Swedish massage with the therapeutic pressure of deep tissue massage helps clients feel connected internally and externally.
As well as an amazing massage therapist and lifelong Yogini, Christa is a textile artist. She has made every single piece of wall art hung at Balanced Bodies. She calls her designs her meditation and her lovely work reflects that. Her massage is just as much art as her beautiful wall hangings and weavings.

Tarah is a native of Oklahoma and a member of the Cherokee tribe.
Currently, she is finishing her degree in Psychology and merging the field of mental health with other healing modalities. She assists her clients in bringing balance to the physical, mental, and emotional bodies by incorporating psychology, science, spirituality, and meditation.
Through her own journey, Tarah brings fresh perspectives and supports others who have experienced conditioning, trauma, depression, addiction, anxiety, and PTSD, allowing them to reach a state of harmony. This path of self-discovery reconnects clients to their highest potential alignment by rewiring and rerouting aspects of human behavior which helps them take control of the mind, body, and emotions enabling them to live their most authentic life.
