Either way, lyrically, "Work" is "about working for a paycheck no matter what else is going on in your life. Additionally, it focuses on "a fragile relationship" which seems to be a common factor when our work life and our personal life are out of balance.
Whether hip hop is your scene or not, I think most of us can relate to the fact of work being unenjoyable.
Even if you are lucky enough to own your own business, be self-employed, or have your dream job, work can still consume you. It can consume the majority of your time and thoughts.
